This seminar was aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the capital raising process with a special focus on IPOs. The course started by identifying the various potential funding sources for developing companies and observe their advantages and disadvantages. The next issue to focus on was the process of tapping the public equity markets. We also studied when the company should launch an initial public offering, and scrutinize the floatation process. Through a series of lectures, exercises and discussions, we brought forth the role of the investment banks, the stock market, the regulators, the buy-side clients, and the company’s management.
The event took place at the JW Marriott Hotel, Bucharest, on June 26, 2008, from 9 AM to 4 PM.
